Biography

Aether Element was formed in 2022. The band consists of

  • Thomas Trimble (drums)
  • Trever Carmichael (vocals)
  • Nate Burkart (guitar)
  • Andrew Grindstaff (bass)

Thomas started drums on buckets in his garage at age 15 before getting his first kit in 2021 where he has spent countless hours on the kit every day since. He is a natural on drums with a unique way of playing his instrument. Does not settle for basic and common song structure for his creations and uses mathematics and complex techniques to achieve his sound. Has a very good understanding of odd time structure, poly-meters, poly-rhythms and music theory.

Trever has 5+ years of experience, mostly self-taught vocalist who has a precise image he wants to perform, has a very capable range in tone, from going from a rough chantful yelling to a rhythmic and superb falsetto. Has been in over 7 bands that consisted of various genres. Music is his passion and priority over all. Trever dabbles in art for all of Aether Elements official art but often finds himself creating angry elder gods that crave to be released from the page they resign. Trever is in an asynchronous chaotic state at all times.

Nate is progressive guitarist with 5 years of experience playing everything from classic rock, heavy metal, to jazz and fusion. He explores grooves in odd times and finds interesting syncopated rhythms. He likes to explore modes and atonal music trying to find unique and nuanced emotions from musical notes. He plays both sharp and rhythmically acting as machine turning the cogs of time, as well as soulfully and freely flowing as an eagle glides with the wind.

Andrew, the thunderous heartbeat of Aether Element, embodies the rebellious spirit of thrash metal fused with the technical prowess of progressive rock, drawing inspiration from icons like Cliff Burton, David Ellefson, and Duff McKagan. From saxophone melodies to the bass guitar, Andrew's musical journey resonates with echoes of Steve Harris's galloping bass lines and Rob Trujillo's ferocity, yet transcends imitation with his blend of technical mastery and boundless creativity, seamlessly weaving intricate layers of sound into the band's progressive metal odyssey. With explosive energy on stage and a virtuosic command of his instrument, Andrew's thunderous bass lines anchor Aether Elements' sonic assault, poised on the precipice of greatness, ready to unleash a storm of progressive metal fury upon the world.
